This console table started life as a rustic pine piece with a scalloped French Country apron and fluid, expressive legs. It was repainted, stripped back to its bones, and rebuilt into something that earns a second look every time you walk past it.
The tabletop is alternating stripes of Park Bench Green paint and hand-applied gold leaf — a rhythm of color and warmth that catches light differently depending on the time of day. The base and legs are painted in the same deep Park Bench Green, grounding the piece and letting the gold do the talking. Sealed in a semi-gloss topcoat that balances sheen with the honest texture of the wood beneath. One lower display shelf for books, objects, or a trailing plant.
At 26 inches long and just 11 inches deep, it fits naturally in a narrow entryway, along a hallway wall, or behind a sofa as a styled surface. It is the kind of piece that makes a room feel considered.
