Some pieces earn their place immediately. This 1980s celadon ceramic table lamp base is one of them — the kind of object that reads as expensive from across a room and reveals more the closer you get.

The body is a deep-lobed melon urn form in high-gloss celadon glaze, a color that sits comfortably between sage, mint, and the softest grey-green depending on the light hitting it. The vertical ribs catch and release light across the surface in a way a flat-glazed lamp never could. Crowned by a polished brass shoulder collar and grounded by a matching brass plinth, the hardware is warm and substantial.

Sold as a base only with harp included, which means you choose the shade. A modern pleated linen drum shade keeps it refined. A bold printed shade turns it into a statement. A plain ivory shade lets the base do all the talking. All three work.

  • Ceramic Body: Excellent vintage condition — high-gloss celadon glaze is bright and vibrant with no chips, cracks, or crazing
  • Hardware: Brass collar and plinth show light, authentic aged patina consistent with age and gentle use
  • Electrical: Original Leviton socket hardware with turn-key switch and brown SPT-2 cord. Tested and in full working order
