Meet Our Founder
I’ve always believed that a home should feel like a reflection of who you are becoming. Before I ever curated a shelf or refinished a piece, I was a singer, dancer, and actor—someone who learned early how to express emotion through movement, color, and presence. That creative foundation shaped everything I do now. It taught me to see beauty in detail, to trust instinct, and to honor the stories objects carry.
My journey took me from New York City to Amsterdam, two places that sharpened my eye for craftsmanship and design. New York taught me to embrace bold choices and take risks with style. Amsterdam taught me to slow down and appreciate how things are made—the joinery of a chair, the weight of solid ceramics, and the care put into a finish.
Those years taught me that quality isn’t about how much an artisan can do, but rather how well they can bring a vision to life.
The Marian Collection was born from that blend of artistry, curiosity, and lived experience. It’s named for my grandmother, Marian Adams, whose home was a masterclass in fearless, eclectic style. She mixed colors, eras, and textures with a confidence that felt effortless. Her influence is in everything I curate—the maximalist palettes, the unexpected pairings, the belief that a room should feel collected rather than decorated.
Today, I curate a fearless mix of rare vintage decor, custom-restored furniture, and hand-selected new home goods from independent makers. Whether I’m hand-sanding a solid-wood piece to give it new life, collaborating with trusted local upholsterers to reimagine heirloom seating, or hunting down distinctive new objects you won't see in local big-box stores, I look for items that bring character, function, and soul into modern living.
