Red Tree Peony is an original watercolor painting — hand-titled, hand-signed, and numbered by the artist. The subject is a single tree peony in full bloom: magenta and soft pink petals rendered with a confidence that only comes from a practiced hand. The brushwork is detailed and bold where it needs to be, then softens at the edges into something almost luminous. It is the kind of painting that rewards a long look.

The piece was acquired as part of a private estate collection — a series of original botanical watercolors, each depicting a different flower, each individually painted, titled, and cataloged by the artist known as MG.
